COOKING TIPS:
Asparagus should be washed and the ends trimmmed before cooking or eating. It is tasty fresh with dip, lightly steamed, grilled, in soups and in casseroles. See recipes for ideas.

STORAGE AND HANDLING: 
To best keep asparagus place in a plastic bag in the crisper bin of your refrigerator or place upright in a cup with water in your fridge. Before eating rinse off asparagus and cut off any tough ends.

NUTRITIONAL DETAILS:
Asparagus is high in vitamin A, folic acid and potassium. One cup of asparagus is only 30 calories and contains 4 grams of protien.
